I’m so happy that Google gave my site a PR of 3 to start the year. From being PR0 for almost a year I got bounced to PR3 in less than a month of buying my own custom domain. I guess having your own domain really helps if you’re using Blogger.

I dont think it has anything to do with your own domain. It is just that your influence has grown in the blogging community.

Happy New Year and Congrats on the 3. One of mine went back up to a 3 as well, so it's gonna be a great year.
I still have PR0 but I deserve it probably since my site is only about 1 month old :)

The domain thing helps a little in the PR, it's the overall usefulness of a blog that counts much in Google's eyes.
